10 viewcards from Uzbekistan

I think that Uzbekistan is so far the "rarest" country where I have received postcards from. And not just one, but ten! The sender tells that all the postcards present Samarqand, which is an old city in Uzbekistan with a lot of beautiful old buildings.

Miffy mother & map postcard from Lithuania

One more Miffy postcard, of course from the Netherlands! I think this is Miffy's mother. The glasses with drinks remind me somehow of the earlier Miffy card... See my all received Miffy cards here.

This is a map postcard of Klaipèda, Lithuania. The sender tells that Klaipèda is a seaport by the Baltic Sea and also the third biggest city in Lithuania. A nice addition to my map postcard collection.

Traditional costumes

I received this wonderful Native Americans (Navajo) postcard as a thank you postcard for an official postcrossing card that I sent to the USA. It is one of my favorite postcards so far!

The back of the postcard says: "Of the Native American tribes living within the United States, the Navajo is the largest. The Navajo Nation also possesses the largest reservation, encompassing some 27,000 square miles of land rich in oil, gas, coal and uranium. However, true wealth of the reservation and people lies not beneath the ground, but in daily life expressed through the art of weaving, traditional dress, and dance."

The postcard sender has added: "I could not agree more with the last sentence of the description. Navajo "code talkers" served in WWII because very few non-Navajos understood the language. The Navajo Nation is the only part of Arizona that does not observe Daylight Savings Time, because it is in more than one state."

This is Himba woman from Namibia. A very nice postcard, even if I just wish that it would be sent from Namibia! Instead it's from Germany.

This postcard is an official postcrossing postcard from Estonia, presenting the national costume. I like how different all these three costumes are compared to each others. In future I hope to get even more traditional costume postcards. The funny thing is that these arrived to me the same day. I often get postcards of certain theme at the same time.
